Couples & Individual Coaching

I'm currently only Licensed as a Therapist in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Florida, but offer coaching to clients who live outside of those states - if you're interested in working with me as a coach, feel free to reach out. I encourage all of my coaching clients to shop around to see if any local therapists would be a good fit for them, but am more than happy to work with clients that want to work with me specifically.

If you do decide to work with me, I would be working with you as a Couples or Individual Coach, and not a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. This is because I'm not recognized by organizations or insurance companies in states I'm unlicensed, and it would be unethical for me to practice as a Licensed Therapist with clients in other states due to only being licensed in PA, DE, & FL. Please email me with any questions or if you would like to start working together.

Therapy & Coaching Differences

It's important to understand the practical and logistical differences when seeking out coaching. I've included a few highlights below that I think are important to know, but oftentimes coaching & therapy can look very similar. The differences are more-so slight shifts instead of significant, noticeable changes because the fundamental ways I help people are similar whether it's therapy or coaching. I encourage you to search online what you think would be best for you, or email me with any questions that I can answer or give clarity to.

Differences

Coaching has more of a focus on evolving and reaching your potential. Therapy has more of a focus on healing and understanding.

Coaching emphasizes present and future, while therapy emphasizes the past and present.

Coaching explores more actions and behaviors that create positive change, while therapy explores the origin of behaviors that have created a difficult situation.
