FAQs
The Most Common Questions
Do you offer a free consultation?
Finding a therapist that you have a good fit with is the most important part of therapy, and it can be very intimidating to invest into this work - emotionally and financially. Because of this, I do offer a free 15-minute phone consultation for you to be able to ask me any questions you might have, and get a sense of if you think we'll be a good fit.
What is the cost per session?
Individual, Couples, and Sex Therapy are $180 per 50-minute session. For Couples Therapy, the Gottman Relationship Checkup Questionnaire is $40 and you would complete this before the second session. I also offer 75-minute sessions at $270.
Do you take insurance?
I don't accept insurance but I can provide clients in states that I'm licensed with a statement for each of our sessions for you to submit to your insurance company for any possible out-of-network reimbursement. The rate of reimbursement (if any) depends on your insurance plan, so make sure to ask your insurance company about out-of-network reimbursement if you're interested.
I'm interested in therapy - how do I get started?
I give you a lot of credit for starting this process! Getting started is easy logistically speaking; you can either submit a contact form or send me an email (I'm often not able to pick up phone calls unless we plan a time). If you would prefer having a consultation, we can find a few minutes that works for both of us to have a call, then schedule from there if you would like to move forward. Or, we can go right to scheduling our intake session if you would like to forego the consultation. When we schedule you will be sent the intake forms to fill out and sign, and that's all that's needed before the first session.
