Qualifications and Background
I'm a Pennsylvania Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist based in the greater Philadelphia region. I am also licensed for teletherapy in Delaware and Florida, and provide coaching for clients outside of those states. I completed my undergraduate degree with a major in Psychology at Temple University in Philadelphia, and earned my Master's Degree in Marriage & Family Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University. My Collaborative & Empathetic
Therapeutic Style
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, empathetic, understanding, and solution-focused. I provide therapy for individuals and couples on both longer- and short-term timeframes, given the presenting problems that each client brings in.
I'm trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gottman Couples Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and integrate helpful parts of other theories and approaches into my work. My training is based in a Systemic approach, which focuses on how our past experiences, personal relationships, patterns of behavior, and choices in life are connected with the issues we experience in our relationships and life in general.
In addition to being a therapist and working with clients, I dabble in creating therapy-related content as I'm enthusiastic about many mental health topics, and want to be able to share my perspective with the goal of being helpful for those who see it.
My therapeutic philosophy is that everyone deserves support throughout life, whether that's for themselves individually, or as a couple. I believes that if we have more of that support and guidance, it opens up more doors that we can walk through to create the life, relationship, or sex life that we want and need.
