About Ben King, LMFT
Individual, Couples, and Sex Therapy
Qualifications and Background
I'm a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist based in the greater Philadelphia area, providing both in-person and online therapy. I'm licensed in Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Florida, and also offer coaching for clients outside of those states.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Temple University and my Master's in Couple & Family Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. Since completing my graduate training, I’ve built a practice focused on helping couples and individuals create relationships and lives that feel more meaningful, balanced, and connected.
I’m also proud to be part of The Therapy Group, a group grounded in collaboration. Click here to see our office in West Chester.

My Collaborative Therapeutic Style
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine curiosity. I work alongside you to better understand the patterns, emotions, and experiences that shape how you show up in your life and relationships. Whether our work is short- or long-term, I focus on helping you build awareness, flexibility, and lasting change.

I’m trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), the Gottman Method, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and draw from mindfulness- and values-based approaches to help guide our work. My foundation is systemic - meaning I look at how your experiences, relationships, and inner world all interact to influence your current struggles and strengths.
Outside of sessions, I enjoy creating mental health content as a way to share what I’ve learned and help more people connect with ideas that support growth and self-understanding.

At the core of my philosophy is the belief that everyone deserves support - individually and in their relationships. With the right guidance, insight, and compassion, we can open the door to the kind of life, connection, and authenticity you want to experience.
